I'm putting together my bottom end, and I can't seem to find three things at the auto parts store:
The gasket for the rear main seal housing/block interface
The gasket for the oil pump housing /block interface
The gasket between the top front plate (distributor mounts into it, and coolant flows through it to the thermostat) /head interface

With an internet search, I look at the exploded views of the head, and no gaskets show up between these parts. But when I took them off of the block, there were gaskets between them. I don't own a service manual, and I don't know the name of said parts. Do they still make them? Do I just assemble them with Permatex ultra grey, stop obsessing, and put the stupid engine together already? The world waits with baited breath......

Any guidance is highly appreciated! Please guide me.....

this is the only thing I can find on line that seems to match anything. I'm pretty sure it's an oil pump housing gasket.

the bottom center gasket is the one that goes between the head and the thermostat / distributor housing. (dont forget to replace the o-ring for the distributor as well)

I have not seen that gasket available without a kit. I did trace a pattern onto a piece of paper, so if I need that gasket again I have access to it. BUT generally if you are taking that off, it is because you are doing something with the cylinder head, so you might as well buy the head gasket kit anyway!.
(comes with intake, exhaust, the mystery gasket for the thermostat housing, new distributor o-ring.. etc. etc.

the rear main housing seal is the one you have highlighted. and then the crankshaft seal is easy to come by (usually sold in a kit with both gaskets)

the front crankshaft seal is also easy, but the oil pump housing is not as easy... why do you need this gasket? is it just leaking, or did you need to replace the pump? if you buy a pump it will come with it.

OK so after some research, thinking they HAVE to offer the gasket.... I FOUND IT !

FEJ310185

just google that number, and you will find the mazda dealer who sells it ( I like to use park mazda)

from what I could dig up on the parts diagram, it looks like they have you use gasket maker for the gasket oil pump to engine block.

Thanks for the part numbers Jaybur! I kind of gave up my search and threw the parts on with ultra grey. Hopefully they hold. If I end up with issues, I will for sure order them. I was originally going to buy a head gasket kit, but it seemed to come with allot of stuff I didn't need, so I only ordered an intake manifold gasket and head gasket. My oil pump just came with the oil pickup gasket, and the o-ring that goes between the block and the pump output line.
