Well, you are probably done with this........sorry, didn't see it before!
I always use the grey RTV on those paper gaskets like that.......minimal amount really, I just use my finger to "paint" it on the gasket (both sides) and then bolt it on there.
Here you can see the RTV squeezed out after tightening to torque.......I wipe or cut this off before installing the oil pan........also I don't use an oil pan gasket either......I know some gasket kits come with it, but I do as the factory did, and seal it with RTV only.
You can also cut your own front distributor housing gasket instead of ordering one and waiting for it......this is a hard gasket to come by it seems, so I usually make my own......
