Seriously p****D! Gone thru hole motor new bearings head oil pump oil pressure switch whole nine yards and NO OIL PRESSURE! Weve primed it done everything rightbut Seized the Cam in the head. this makes no sense ive done oil pump replacements before and never had this problem its locked the head up so tight it snapped the cam gear/bolt/cam pulley dowel clean off. Anyone have ANY ideas?

For anyone rebuilding a b series block be very sure to make sure the oil passage is clean.

also be sure to lube the cam journals before torquing down the camshaft.

we did and that's why we were so upset on it locking up

(Plastigauge) Check the clearances for camshaft to bearings... Make sure the valve/springs/ retainers are properly seated, and make sure the valve springs are within specs, if you have shimmed your springs.. They might be to tight... Which is causing camshaft to seize... Check for any serious wear on camshaft and journals.... Post back results....

Did you replace the head gasket?.. Did you place it the correct way up? If not, you could have blocked an oil passage......... How do you know exactly that you have no oil pressure?... Are you absolutely getting NO oil to the head?... Or are you hooking up a gauge and the oil pressure switch?...
