I removed six of the eight screws that hold the fuel tank sender on the tank, But the last two broke off flush. What can I do to get them out? or would it just be easier to buy a new tank?

You could drill and tap them, however, I'd drain the tank completely of gasoline. Next fill the tank completely with water so there will be no explosive vapors that may catch fire from potential sparks from the drill.

Then tap the new hole and add new screws of your choice.

Obviously you'll need to drain the water and dry the tank before use.

There are other ways to do it too, like a nitrogen (inert gas) purge into the gas tank after you've drained it but then you'll need to be careful because N2 displaces air which you need to stay alive...

Okay thanks. I will try that

Don't the screws go through to the inside of the tank? If so you could get em out from the inside.

Good luck.

All mine loosened, but maybe because I'm in Arizona there was no rust; I replaced my screws with 7mm head hex head screws (4mm thread x 8mm long, with a wavy washer).

The truck came from New Jersey but is now located in north carolina, so it was rusty. I already had to grind, and weld some steel onto a weak spot on the frame, thankfully seven of the eight screws came out alright, and I drilled, and tapped the last one today. then I put a new gasket, and gasket sealer. And the tank is going back in tomorrow morning. Thanks for the help guys it is much appreciated.
