Ok, I know I have a new head cam lifters etc under my hood. but since i'm going to be pulling the cam out to replace the rear cam and front cam seals, my question is where could i get a cam for the 2.2? Or would a different cam from another mazda motor prove any diff?

Here is a little bit of info for you about what I have. I installed new rocker arms from Rockauto.com and a stage 2 cam from Deltacam.com. I'm running a 38 Degree Weber Carburetor from Redlineweber.com. I bought a Pace Setter Header. On the head, I had the machine shop do a match port and polish for the intake and exhaust. For my the block I have .020 oversize pistons & rings, new freeze plugs, crank & rod bearings, oil pump & I had the machine shop polish the crank. At this time I'm still running my computer, but I plan on getting rid of it after I get it running again.

Here is the contact information for cams.

Thanks for the info, i'm running the 36/32 i believe haven't looked it up but im sure what it is. If so would this cam be ok to run with this carb or should i go ahead and get the 38? I already have pacesetter headers as well, running 5 speed myself.

And also where did you get the oversized pistons from? i'd probably be into doing this later down the road just until get ready to swap motors. Wouldn't hurt nothing prob help sell the motor at a later date. Sorry for the slew of questions but on my searches online i've had issues finding parts dealers that have parts aftermarket for these motors again thanks.

With the parts you have now I would go with a stage 1 cam from Delta Cam. Here is a list of the parts I got from Rockauto.com:
*engine gasket set
*rocker arms
*.020 oversize pistons
*.020 oversize rings
*water pump
*timing belt
*freeze plugs
*rod bearings
*crank bearings
*oil pump
*a/c compressor gasket kit

Here is a list of the parts I got from Ebay.com:
*alternator
*electric fans
*radiator
*header

Appreciated once more. i must been searching wrong on rockauto, as of now i shouldn't need rocker arms or anything unless that would be nessecary with a cam swap? I have a brand new head, just whoever put it on before i bought it used two diff style sealer and my cam gaskets didn't seal well and only just noticed it.

plenty of power and torque but i'd like to go ahead and cam it while im in there so next time it's not such a waste.

The first 10 minutes of running on a new camshaft are the most critical. If a failure occurs during this break-in time period, no corrective action can be taken to save it. The number one cause of new camshaft failure is the use of old rocker arms. New rocker arms MUST be used.
