So im fixin to replace the carrier bearing and i need to know what size the nut on the driveshaft is. All i know at this point is that i dont have anything big enough. My 18mm was too small...not by much but im guessing 20-21 mm but not sure. I only want to buy one.

Your wheel lug wrench is 21mm. Like your spark plug socket.

Ok...that was the wrong size. 21 is still too small.

its probably a 22mm.. if need be any of the advance auto parts /auto zones have a free tool loan program where you can barrow a tool to do the job .

It was a 26mm...

Now on to beating and cutting out the bad ujoints.

Wow - never heard of anything being 26mm before....but I said similar before buying a 23mm socket for the differential plug...knew that 24mm and 7/8 inch were "too big"...

Ujoint is almost out. One more side to hit with the die grinder to get the middle loose then beat out the cups.

Be carefull when you beat things...they might just be looser than you think.
