Lifters replacement

Ive recently bought new lifters for my truck not sure how to install them. Any help appreciated. I took off the valve cover and the 8 bolts that held down the rocker arms and could not remove it. Im guessing i missed a step. thanks

Aren't there also a pair of bolts at both the front and at the rear by the rounded parts?

I removed the 2 bolts that werent under the valve cover in the front of the motor. The rear of it came up with no problem but the front wont budge

You'll need to pull off the cam gear to get to the bolts that hold on the cam backing plate.
