87 5 speed 2200. First issue is the clutch was soft and getting stuck to floor. Did some research and replaced my master and slave cylinder.
Now my truck will not even go into gear after replacing. clutch gets stuck to the floor with no pressure at all.

Ill tell you how I replaced the cylinders. I took off slave and letnit drip. Refilled master and let it drip some more to get out all old fluid. Replaced master, topped with fresh fluid. Hooked up slave and finished.


2nd issue is on the housing cover or undercover there is a rubber seal. It kind of touches the oil pan a bit. Do you know what Im talking about?
So I think that seal came loose and went into where the flywheel is. Which does not seem good, but could be common.

Re-bleed the clutch hydraulics the correct way.

If you don't know how, search the Internet.

I hope you bench-bled the clutch master before installing it.

Post picture of theis rubber seal, or the area where it was.

I read a thread in here and said bench bleeding is not necessary, it can be bled completely with the parts on truck.

Bleeding the master before installing, is that to remove air from it?

If you have a second person you can bleed the hydraulics with everything installed. You can do it by yourself, too.

Pump up the master and push the pedal to the floor. Go around to to master and open bleeder screw to release air pressure. Close bleeder. Do this about 50 times.

Pump up master and push pedal to floor. Climb under truck and break bleeder loose to release air. Tighten bleeder. Do this about 50 times.

Eventually the pedal won't go all the way to the floor. At this point you may have gotten all air out of system.

I dont believe i saw a bleeder screw on the master, i only saw it on the slave.

You can crack the line loose if there isn't a bleeder screw.

Yes, the bleeding is to remove air. You can remove the clutch master outlet line and screw in a fitting to "bench bleed" while mounted in the truck.

Correct, there is no bleed valve on the master, just on the slave.

The rubber piece is a dust seal and its job is to basically keep water out of the bellhousing by sealing the fork. Probably a good idea to keep it in place if you can.

Yes, I think that rubber seal fell into the transmission.
