On my mazda i keep blowin the cam seal on the back side of the head. Am i getting to much pressure built up? I have a tubet that is running from top of head to air cleaner housing. Could that be the issue? Cud i put one of those aftermarket air breathers on. Any help would be great.

Seems like over pressurization to me... PVC valve new or old? You can soak it in cleaner to see if it's stuck or not. That breather "sponge" should be clear too...

If the PVC is good check the baffle at the top of the valve cover, it may be clogged...

Maybe there is something wrong with the valve cover where it is installed? Is it the right part?

Im sure the pvc valve is old. I just recently got the truck and have changed two head gaskets and cam seals. Could i put one of those valve cover air breathers in where the pvc valve is? Im going to pull it off and see if i can clean it. I know the hose from there to the air cleaner has a hard bend in it. Maybe not getting enough air?

PCV (Positive Crack case Ventilation) valve is a one way valve, don't use a regular breather.

Ok. Ill pick a new one up. Should i replace cam seal also? It jus came out one side and i jus pushed it back in. Also would this make my head gasket go out to?

If you've never replaced the seal, after it first "fell out/blew", I would definitely install a new one!!

I just replaced it and this is the first time it blew out. Maybe 100 miles on the seal.

I pulled pvc valve off and hopefully replace it today. It was on tbe front of the valve cover. There is a tube on the top of the head that goes to air cleaner does that have a pvc valve also or just a hose. Thats the hose with the hard bend in it.

Just a hose. But that is a vent hose.

There is a metal bracket on the back of the head on the drivers side that has a hole in it for a lifting point. That bracket is designed to be there not only as a lifting point but it also overlaps the rear cam plug and keeps it in place. If that bracket is missing then you will continue to blow out the rear cam seals.
