gas burning

Anyone know what would cause a mazda B2200 burn alot of gas after putting a new weber on the truck, what inside the motor as far as worn out parts that would cause a person to only get about 10 mpg.It has new dizzy cap,rotor button,NGK plugs,beldin wires,fresh oil,filter,32/36 DGEV Weber carb still using gas,drove by a friend walking his dog and he said it smelled like it was coming out my exaust very strong so I adjusted the carb one more time but still the same. Anyone have a clue maby a ring job etc etc

Corked up exhaust? That's what mine was. Non flowing catalytic converts. Installed pacesetter and removed secondary cat, runs like a top, and gets good milage again.
