oil pump

I have a 1988 Mazda B2200 5-speed,and was wondering how do I get to the oil pump to change it.

You need to pull the pan off, and pull off the front of the engine (including the timing belt).

What makes you think that you need to replace the oil pump?

u also need to unbolt idler arm on the passenger side frame rail to be able to remove the oil pan and there are two brackets on each side of the oil pan that needs to be removed thats connected to the trans and as i was told when i did mine make sure u use rtv and not an oil pan gasket when u reinstall it
