Exhaust Manifold change

So i put up a post before saying my truck i am buying (92 b2200) needed a new head gasket, well the owner was wrong and its just a simple exhaust manifold (very large hole) knowing there not hard to do, are there any tips and precautions i should know about before doing so? (also so you know im only 16 with great basic knowledge) so any help will be highly appreciated

There is a hole in the exhaust manifold? Is it damage, did someone drill a hole in it or something is missing from the manifold leaving an opening. Post some pictures, that will helps help you. Dan

R&R of the exhaust manifold will be straightforward if your truck doesn't have much rust. PB Blaster or similar might be your friend, and wear safety glasses when working on stuff like this as you sure don't want rust particles in your eye.
