Hello again people,

I'm putting together a parts order for my engine semi-rebuild. I live in Canada, but I'm planning on ordering from the US and picking up at the border. RockAuto seems pretty good. I'm mostly used to bike parts. Can you guys let me know if I'm ordering decent quality parts. I'm on a medium to light budget rebuild.

I'm getting a head gasket set, intake and exhaust manifold gasket from Fel-Pro

DNJ piston rings and connecting rod bearings.

What do you guys think of ITM and EngineTech as well?

Fel pro are good for gaskets, the best actually.

I would reccomend Clevite 77 for rings and rod bearings, they have been making them for a long time.

Do you live close to the border. I order from Rock Auto fairly often, and their shipping quotes are reasonable.

Having worked at an performance machine shop and engine builder our experience with enginetech leaves A LOT to be desired. Itm has been good for us but there kit for the 2.2 has low compression pistons from what I have seen. Still looking into that. As for dnj I got nothing and am looking for that info as well.

I used standard size NPR pistons and pistons rings, got from Ebay dealer MizumoAuto. ... =82&chn=ps" target="_blank" target="_blank

You can also get kits from them including bearings....
