I replaced my carb with the weber. I have the distributor advance hooked up, brake hose, throttle cable, PCV and fuel line hooked up. But my truck will start up and drive but when I let off throttle it dies. Plus, it runs rough. But everything on the intake is plugged except the PCV and that hose underneath the intake. What's going on with it?

Probably a vacuum leak if you followed the Weber install adjustment procedures. To find a vacuum leak get truck running and spray carb cleaner at the base area all around to see if the idle changes. If it does you have a leak. This is very common after a weber swap.

Did you sand your Weber adapter plates smooth before install? did you use any sealant on the mating surfaces. I know it said not to but you need to use something like aviation sealant available at auto parts stores. Also you can make your own gaskets from the rubberized material available at auto parts stores.

Make sure the PCV valve hose connections are air-tight.

Make sure that your EGR valve is not stuck partially open, whether you have the vacuum connected to it or not. A partially opened EGR will cause rough low rpm running, and even prevent idling.

EGR is on passenger side of engine 3 bolts (10mm socket).

I used permatex on everything. I made a block off plate for my egr valve and gasketed that too.
