top end noise

Just bought truck,been sitting for two years. Installed new lifters started tight up,now have noise clicking like a lifter?

Well started reading about hla,.sounds like prob but where im torn is the head was redone. Friend got.truck.from bought new lifters/adjusters installed them and.bolted ut back together. All i did was put it in time and it fired up,run rough for sec got better. Warmer it got louder noise got. Im.just lost for the moment. Any help would be great.

New lifters need to be primed before install.

I asked guy who sold it to me and he said he saoked them in something but prob not very long.

Soaking doesn't do much because the check valve is closed. To get the air out, you really need to prime them as SCL mentioned.
