91 2600i problems

buddy of mine picked up a 4x with some issues. It runs fine, but with the MAF pulled, it runs smoother. if you pull the throttle cable it kills itself. we are thinkingthe MAF or the ECM. any ideas?

MAF..... get some MAF cleaner from autozone, if that doesn't help, you need a new one. I doubt its the ECM

he asked a tech at a local repair shop. apparently his fuel pressure was too low. so he is trynig a new pressure regulator. will see from here.

ya, that def could be the problem too... Maybe try changin the fuel filter too, jus to be on the safe side

Make sure the injectors are all ticking. You probabably have a bad ECM...Its amazing how many systems this can affect. If you can pull the maf and have the truck still run, it is in open loop mode and not using the reference properly. $150.00 to Avpro. Can't say enough good about them.
