My truck is doing the exact same thing and I've been working on it for about 2 days with no solution.

Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

Truck gets up to about 2500rpm and then fuel floods the motor and then starts popping and backfiring

Please help us!

Poppimg and backfiring are symptoms of lean burn--check timing and then be sure u do not have a vacuum leak somewhere.bj

First, go here:

Then, find connector 2N and back probe that line with a digital multimeter.

Set your scale to 2 volts DC.

Positive to that pin out, and negative to ground.

This will allow you to monitor your O2 sensor voltage.

Get the engine hot and running at 2500 rpm.

Report your findings and then we can interpret them.
