How many of you buy parts from Rock Auto? From what I seen, they have really good prices. I was wondering about stuff like brake parts, etc. IMO lifetime brakes from Advance and Autozone suck, they seem to squeal no matter what you do. What kinda experience have you guys had with parts from Rock Auto? Thanks in advance!

Thanks to Cusser showing me, Rock Auto was the only place that had the single wire temp gauge sensor for my '87 B2000. I started looking and they are cheaper and they do have a lot of different things that most places don't.

Quality? Not sure. I haven't finished the head work so I haven't been able to test whether the sensor works.

I've dealt with RockAuto about 4 times. Rock was considerabley less expensive than local (even AutoZone) for a lower flexible clutch line, when I decided to replace it back in October. I bought my Fel-Pro head gasket kit from them, saved me $10 and maybe 1 or 2 trips to the parts store. I also bought a bunch of front-end parts on closeout, great prices, but haven't installed them yet. And all the parts arrived quickly too, and well-packed.

I bought my NPR pistons and rings from an Ebay dealer.

I've had real good success with quiet brake pads and shoes on my B2200 and on my Frontier using Wagner Thermo Quiet (O'Reillys) and Bendix Import Quiet. I don't go cheap on brakes.

Rockauto is the first place I look for parts. Good prices, good selection. I've bought a few things from them. I'm sure I will again.

I buy most of my parts from them. They're always fast with shipping and their parts are the same thing you pay more for locally. <3 rockauto

I've used them a bunch. My only gripe is many parts are shipped from different warehouses so shipping can be a bit more expensive. Otherwise, good guys.

I've bought MOOG upper control arm shafts, Nippon Denso O2 sensors and door handles to name a few. Great prices compared to a dealership and other parts stores. Quality name brand at affordable prices. Shipping was not a long wait considering I'm from Guam out here in the Pacific Ocean, about 10 days.

I have about 30 empty boxes in my pile from buying parts through RA......I save them for when I ship something!

I just saved over $100.00 (over some of the major classic car re-pop parts companies) by using them to buy my Moog control arm shafts, control arm bushings, upper & lower ball joints, and a couple of other small front end parts for my 69 GTO.....and that's after shipping also! You have to watch some things though, you can buy the same part cheaper at your local parts house every now and then, but it is usually small stuff when it is cheaper locally, especially when you add the shipping in.
I try to let things add up and then do a larger order all at once......shipping will be from 4 or 6 different locations (hence the cardboard box collection!) but some of the parts will ship in the same box and not increase the shipping cost......if I think something adds too much shipping, then I'll remove it from the cart and get it locally. or find something else I need for another vehicle to warrant the shipping.
