If you didn't change your lifters, then you will more than likely still hear the click. If you decide to change them, some of them come "pre charged" or already filled with oil. These will be hard to push down. If you buy new ones that are easy to push down, then they will need to be soaked in oil until they get hard to push down.

yeah I replace the lifters after filling them,I think one of my balance shafts is loose I have no experiance with the balance shaft chain behind the timing cover would you happen to have any advise, tips, guide lines ect....for working with that part of the engine?

How did you go with it mate? I've got a 1993 b2600 thats just started making an annoying ticking sound a couple of days ago. It WAS only at start up and went away as soon as I started driving but now its happening the whole drive.

Does/did your noise seem to coincide with the revs? Also I noticed last week when I replaced the fan belts that the idler pulley had a small amount of play and the arm it was attached to was bent from possibly being overtensioned in the past, could it possibly come from that?
