Just seein what the general conscience is for this issue. Just started burnin oil an it throws a lot of smoke if it's been parked for a few days. 91 b2600i 183000 miles

sounds like valves. valves aren't shutting completely, so as the days wear on when it's parked, the oil leaks into the cylinder. on start up, all the drained oil in the cylinder burns out. sometimes causes rough starting.

or head gasket, tbh. general testing procedure i recommend would be compression test without and with oil.

and yes, i'm a bit of an english nitpicker:

consensus: majority of opinion
conscience: the inner sense of what is right or wrong in one's conduct or motives

you certainly could've meant conscience, though, and it was spelled right. therefore, i'm making a suggestion rather than a correction.

main cause of these trucks blowing smoke after cool down is valve guide seals. if your not highly mechanically inclined i'd strongly suggest letting a perfessional do the work for you, requires a few speciality tools, take the head off, take it to a head shop, have it completely overhauled while your there. install a new head gasket at the same time, no worries on the top end after that.
