i was going down the highway headed to one of out local meet when my truck dies all of the sudden and wouldn't crank back up and i have tried just about everything at first i thought it was my fuel pump but my fuel pump is working fine so i'm thinkin it a ignition problem its the 2.3l 4cyl with the dual coil pack 2 plugs per cyl and we were thinkin it might be the coil packs but i'm not sure unless it might be a clogged fuel filter i'm gonna check that later or even 2mrw after i get back from my interview any comments or suggestion would help me greatly if anybody has had this kinds of problems before with there ranger also it is a 90 model.
T-belt still in one piece? check your timing marks, belt could have jumped a tooth. Also check your MAF sensor to see if something got stuck in it. If you think its fuel, connect a fuel pressure guage to the fitting on the fuel rail.
yah t-belt is still in one peice i didn't think about it jumpin a tooth i will check my marks 2mrw when its daylight and yes i have fuel pressure it shot all over me when i disconnected the line
well come to find out the t-belt slipped 2 teeth so i'm gonna fix that 2mrw cause when me and my friend redid my valves and stuff we made a couple of marks on the belt and pulleys and the marks on the belt are off the marks on the pulley by 2 teeth
