out of all you guys here.. how many of you with the PREs have teh 1.8 l engine

im running the 1.8 but its slow.. very easy to work on however so thats rad..

i do know you can put on the 2ol head however.. add some power

will the 87 2.0 head fit the pre 85 and is the 1.8 the same as the ford courier 1.8

Yea the Ford Courier 1.8 is the same as the Mazda 1.8 they are the same Mazda motor. As for the 2.0 head I have no idea but if it is possible and you get a decent gain out of it I might try it with my 1.8

the newer 2.0l heads will not fit the older trucks.. its only the heads off of the 77-84 2.0l mazda..
