re-installing torsion bars

Ok guys, Im re-installing the torsion bars back in my buddies 89 2200. I've got the bolts cranked all the way up and still not up to stock height. Any ideas?

come on guys, Im sure someone along the way has reindexed these or something.

For the torsion bars though it sounds like you need to keep cranking to put a load on the bar.

I'm not sure if you know but the torsion bar acts like a spring, the more load on it the high it will lift. Pictures would help a lot for us to help you. Can you take some exterior shots, and also how you have everything connected?
