im probably gonna pick up a truck to cut up and body. im gonna do my first body drop as a traditional. id do a stock floor but my welder isnt cut out for that much welding i can do sheetmetal work all day long but unfortantly the welder only welds at 3 minutes tops on 3/16 or 1/4" after that it takes 15 minutes to be able to do it again.

so anyways my question is are you guys unbolting the cab when you cut the floor to drop the cab level to the frame. pretty much the rest i think i got but thats my only issue at this time.

No. Leave it bolted to the floor. Make sure u put the truck on something level all the way around the truck

got it i was planning on either laying it out on the garage floor or welding square tubing to the bottom of the frame comming outwards towards the sides so the cab would rest on the metal its self and then i could tack or temporarily run small beads to secure the rocker or pinch to the tubing so its less likely to shift.
