going to be starting a complete rebuilt engine... any advice

Im gonna be putting oil in this engine today and turning it over for the first time..any advice or a checklist from you guys would be great. Its all set at tdc and the distributor is set..im just trying to be cautios as this is my first rebuild.

I always d/c the coil and crank it for a while, to make sure oil pressure comes up before I start it.

That's what i did last year.

Then change the oil and re-torque the heads at about 500 - 600 miles.
