I read a couple more threads that guy had posted and from what I understood all he done was install the manifold/turbo, intercooler, and oil lines and daily drove it. I read in one post he could have used bigger jets for his weber but other then that It was great and ran very good with the factory wastegate psi. weber was stock besides the carb "hat"

anyone know the average lifespan of the factory mx6 turbos? I don't want to buy one if I know the mileage is too high

Those old turbos were terrible for me, I must have killed a dozen and that was 10+ years ago when they were plentiful.

If I were to do it now (okay - I AM doing it now) I would use a commonly available turbo that is easy to get new.

I used a T28 garrett turbo and modded a tubular manifold to fit.

You could also use a stock F2t manifold and adapter flange to fit another turbo.
