Has anyone cobbled together a supercharger--2200 specific?

I do not plan on putting EFI on my truck unless it comes with another engine, like a 5.0 swap. I would however consider a belt driven pressure for this carbed engine. I understand low power ones from a mercedes in theory would work, has this been pursued?

Long story short - a huge amount of money and work for something that will not really work that well. If you want boost go turbo.
