88 B22 (mechanical fuel pump) going to eliminate the factory set up (poor millage), got a new 32/36 but I have seen many people not using a fuel pressure regulator, I always ask but people say that they are happy and that they have not figure the actual millage they are getting. Redline says no more than 2lb, the questions is, will the regulator help in attaining higher mpg's?, I just don't want to spend more unless is something that will help in attaining better numbers, thx.

I have run both with and without regulator. I never really saw a difference in fuel economy. Since I installed the current Weber I have been getting between 20-23 mpg. My last Weber which was a knock-off version was getting at best 17 mpg.

I have never run a regulator. Two weber 32/36s on a 1990 2.2 and 1986 2.0.

Same here with my 32/36 DGEV on my '88 B2200.
