Maybe picking up some new wheels 15x7 and 15x8
Thinking bout going with a 55 or 60 series but not sure on width, I want something that isn't stretched but sidewall won't hang over rim pretty flush any ideas will be appreciated

Are you trying to keep stock height, 26 inches tall?

No truck is already lowered may do a 50 series if I can find some used ones

whats the width of the wheels? if you have 15x7 you can go with 195/50 or 205/50. 15x8 will work but 195 will give some stretch... My bro rides on 195/50 with about 3" drop

The front is 15x7 rear is 15x8 I'm not looking for a stretch I want sidewall flush with outer lip

TL;DR at the bottom

just convert the millimeters to inches... 195mm is around 7.5in/ 205mm is around 8in

depending on how tall you want your side walls.

you can do a simple formula to find out the dimensions of the tire. (or you could just look it up

say in the front 195/60R15

195 is the width in mm _ 195mm = 7.6in (should line up ok with the 7"rim)

60 is _ percentage of width = height of the side wall. (195x0.6)= 117mm = 4.6in (side wall height)

15 rim size inches.

side wall x 2[top and bottom] (4.6x2)=9.2+15= 24.2in total height.

in the rear 205/60R15

8in wide tire with 4.8in tall side wall = 24.6in total height in the rear

that set up will get you pretty close to the width of the rim front and rear.

If you want to go lower profile look for 50 series tires like you said and use the same formula.

I'm running 215/75R15 on 8" rims but I am lifted so it doesn't really apply to you. 215mm is around 8.5in wide.

Sorry if this is too much information, haha. I'm bored at work

TL;DR - Front: 195/60/R15 - Rear: 205/60R15

I'm running 215'60r15 front and 235/60r15 back on 15x7 wheels

I like the staggered look for now
soon to be changed.

Go here and play with the numbers.

A 50 series in a narrow tire will have a shorter sidewall height than a wide tire.

1"=25.4 mm
On my '93 b2600i the stock tire diameter is 26.1"

On any metric tire you can figure the overall size by typing in the following (same as above, I just put in the actual measurement for inches):

XXXmm (width) x .XX (aspect ratio-2nd number) x 2
then divide by 25.4 and add the rim size (in inches), you now have your overall height.

Realize that aspect ratio is how 'tall' the tire will look from the edge of the rim and you can have a wider tire with a lower aspect ratio have the same height as a skinnier tire with a taller aspect ratio.

ie: 195/70 r 15 will have a 5.76" tall sidewall (top and bottom) 26.52" overall height
245/60 r 15 will have a 5.79" tall sidewall (top and bottom) 26.58" overall height

If your overall height varies from the original it will affect your speedometer. A larger tire will cause your speedo to be slower than actual speed, and a smaller tire will cause the speedo to be faster than actual speed.

If you have issues with excess speed and the guys in blue, put smaller tires on and forget it changes it. . .
