I found some goodyear eagle gt 225/50r16 for 70$ a piece but i dont know how well they are

not a bad price for that size. about half off others. On tirerack and discounttire the cheapest tire for that size was $170.

I can't say anything bad about Eagle GT's. I haven't heard any complaints from people who have them. I prefer Cooper, Nexen, or Falken. Nexen and Cooper for winter and Falkens for the track.

Others will chime in to let you know but I think you found a good deal.

At one time, I had the Goodyear "American" GT+4(Walmart) 235/50-16 on my truck.
I loved those tires! Never had a problem with them. The reason I don't have them now, is because the price has gone up a little too much... my buddy who got me his employee discount moved back to Texas.

I have Nexian Roadian ATII (31x10.50r15 $160 each) on my Toyota 4x4, Cooper Cobras (215/60r15 and 235/60r15 $110 each) for the street use on my Mazda and Falken ZE912 (front) and Azenis's(rear)( all 195/60r14, all $90 each) for track use on my Mazda.

I love each one for each role they do. If you are planning on just street driving the Eagle GT2s should be perfect.

If I'm just blabbering just tell me to go sit in the corner.

The good year eagle gt's are awesome. A little soft but nothing to shy away from. I had them on my Mazda when it was bagged. I loved them. I would love to put another set on it. I like the curb gaurd they have. It's huge and makes the tire look like it's wrapping around the wheel. Very nice.

Use 225/55/16 they are close to the stock tire diameter, that will keep your speedo accurate.
