It's not a mazda but i figured i would share my project anyway.

So, a couple days ago i was at a buddy's house helping him cut the rest of his bed out of his mazda b22, so we could weld up a bracket for the fuel cell. while doing this another buddy of mine who knows nothing about cars in general called me, asking where he could scrap his truck because it was to much work for him to get it on the road. So i asked him what truck he was talking about etc he said the nissan.....wound up buying it off him for 200 bucks. Then the fun began.
Here are some pictures from the last 2 days since i bought the truck from when i bought it to how it sits now.
The truck does have some minor problems broken windshield, some rust, dead yellow top battery.
....at friends house before i bought it

Not to bash and I'm glad you showed us before you finished but that notch needs redone man. Stacking tube on top of tube make a week joint. The wall of tubing is what makes it strong, all four sides need to be connected like one solid piece of tubing!

Also before you weld it should be clean metal, no rust or paint. It looks like you are using flexcore right?

good start but baha is right man redo the notch it will bend and break fast

also make sure your ends of your tubes your using for the frame rail but up ....
example four sides are welded to four sides not four sides to one that creates a weak point

Ya I would box the parts of the frame in and get yourself a 8 piece notch kit or cut yourself one out of 1/4 plate.

Did you really just say that? have you looked at the backhalf you just scabbed together? you should take your own advice man.......

o no my notches are not staying like that it was an idea, so just look over that in general and btw everything was cleaned before i welded it might not look like it but they are shitty cell pics has also been out in the rain so thats the reason for surface rust.

good start to a 200 dollar truck but why would he sell a running truck that cheap
