I inherited this car from the great aunt as Daughter Dan's daily driver

Recently daughter Dan has mentioned a "scratching" noise while she drove a couple times so I ordered pads, suspecting it was just that, and tonight she returned home from school so I looked into it... That's what it was... 38K on the OEM pads, a little long in the tooth but caught it in time to save the rotors.

I was surprised by the amount of pad grease they used everywhere but it is probably why everything came apart easy and the calipers still slide very nice.

The driver side caliper was especially gooy...

The guide pins were in good shape but I replaced the pads and slides.

You can see all the damage Ohio winters/salt/ice melt does up here... man doI wish I lived in Florida or Arizona. I'd gladly put up with the heat to have cars that last forever and are easy to work on.

Dan
