transmission

what would make a 91 2200 auto have a horriable take off but if u put it in first and take off it does fine

is there a locking torque converter or anything on these? maybe a sensor.

im thinking maybe something in the valve body of the trans...going to see the truck tommorow and test drive it to see if it slips in any of the gears..buddy is wanting to trade his full size on 22s for it,its fully baged and all that so got to give it the once over before i let him do the trade

Got another transmission problem ...its in a mists but most trans are the same anyways..what would make a transmission stay in gear no matter where the shifter is placed...BUT.. can only place tge shifter in what seems like 1st and 2nd,when the stiffer is not in any gear.the car is in reverse and can move...wont move by itself any other time..but when clutch is pressed it does release and can roll freely...


Seems to me the insides are done for and need a new trans
