93 B2200 Pinion seal question

Good day all, i am replacing my pinion seal removed the fluid and yoke and old seal, but in doing a bit of reading i did not mark the position or threads or check the pre-load?
what can be done at this point.
I have a manual but opened it to see reassembly instructions.

If a crush sleeve is used on that pinion you will need to purchase a new crush sleeve, torque the pinion nut to spec using the same shims that came on the pinion. Then you can reassemble the other parts in the differential. Check backlash and pattern and it should be all good. Putting it back together without marking it and using an old crush sleeve would give you an improper setup.
