For the last couple of weeks my truck has been developing a terribly shaking. Everytime I get up to around 50 or faster the entire truck feels like its going to vibrate apart and the steering wheel shakes horribly. I've been getting a lot of bump steer and also, I don't know if its related but if I drive my truck on gravel its makes a rattling sound. I know the tired aren't the problem because I bought them brand new a couple of months ago and haven't had any problems until recently.

Does anyone know what could be my problem? It's my daily driver and my baby but I'm getting a little bit scared to drive it, it feels kind of dangerous.

probly tie rod or other ball joints. a bad alighnment will wear out tie rods. turn ur wheel back and forth and have someone look under the truck with it off. if its making noise when u wiggle the wheel start by looking at the tie rod ball joints. you will see play in the faulty ball joint.

For shaking above or around 50 it sounds like either your tires or drive shaft are out of balance.

never thought of tire balance. im missin a weight on my right front and since then ive had a shimmy in the wheel. but if its making a rattle sound on bumpy gravel roads and shaking the steering wheel that bad then i wouldnt rule out ball joints n such just yet but i would check the drive shaft like baha said. if the rubber boot on your carrier bearing is out then it will bang around on bumpy roads and shake more and more the faster it spins.

Check your idler arm too!
A bad one can present similar symptoms.
