it's been making this noise. It sounds like a high pitched chirp or ringing, but very faintly and it goes away with slight pressure on the clutch pedal. it didnt start all this till i decided to spray the under carage in degreser and wash all the crud off the tranny and motor and frame.....hope i didnt mess somthin up to to bad...maybe i got water in the tranny???.

Sounds like typical throw out bearing noise... Don't know why it would come on after spraying off the undercarriage though... Hmm. Throw out bearings not to bad to change. I'll let one of the more "seasoned" mazda guys take it from here.

yea you might have got some spray up in the bell housing through the peak hole. proly is a worn throw out bearing. if u know how to drop the tranny youl be ok. its really not as hard as it looks. just remove all the bell housing bolts and take out the cross member and drop the driveshaft. i used a hydrolic jack to hold the tranny and roll it back and forth. the throw out bearing is the one inside the bell housing.
