Hi I am new to this forum.
I have a 87 B2200 that i put in a 2.0 motor in, now it blows white smoke and i am getting a little white on the inside of my oil filler cap.
I have a 87 2.2 head rebuilt and ready to go, the heads look the same the only thing i see different is the hyd lifters, and the head gasket on the 2.0 has a restrictor on the oil passage and the 2.2 gasket dont. Anyone have any info on this thanks.

Use the 2.0 head gasket for the 2.0 block, or the 2.2 gasket for the 2.2 block. The 2.2 has a restrictor in the block.
The heads are the same. Use the mechanical rockers and cam for a quieter valve train.

Thanks for the info. if i use the 2.2 gasket without the restrictor could it possibly get more oil to the lifters?

You'll run the risk of denying the bottom end of oil pressure.

Makes sense thank you for the info.
