I recently purchased a 1990 Mazda b2200 standard and I'm having some issues. It idles really bad to the point where it just dies. Most of the time in stalls when I come to a red light or stop sign. To keep it from stalling I have to keep my rpm's up. Does anybody know of a way to fix this. I'm pretty sure there's a post about it somewhere but I can't find it

Have you replaced any of the filters yet? I would do a tune up first. Check out this thread.

No, that's not the EGR valve.

The EGR valve is on the right side of the engine (passenger side in USA), removed by disconnecting the harness and using a 10mm socket on the three hex-head screws, and if it sticks open or partially open, then the engine won't idle. Typically these can be removed and cleaned out so that the internal piston closes.

I've got two available, but check to see if yours is open or partially open, should release and close completely when vacuum is released. Here's B2200 EGR valves for carbureted engines:

Yeah I've cleaned those.
I just wanted to know what that thing in the picture is

And I can't seem to find my fuel filter. Where is that at?
