What's a gas mile?

Please keep the conversation here so others can chime in. I know from your PM you meant MPG.

I haven't seen a bad fuel filter cause poor gas mileage (mpg) but it can cause a truck to run poorly or not at all.

Has the gas mileage always been poor? If you haven't done so already I would do a tune up. Replace the fuel and air filters. Replace the plugs and wires and I'm sure others will chime in.

7-10mpg is pretty bad, I would even start checking around the tank to make sure you aren't leaking gas and even put a lock on your gas cap to make sure someone isn't stealing your gas.
