Hi Everyone,

need a bit of help if possible.

I have a 1999 mazda b2500 2.5D 4WD, my front wheel bearing is on its way out and needs a new one, but i am struggling to find the right part, when i removed the hub, it looks just like a B2600 hub and shaft, when i went online to mazda oem parts to look at the diagrams none of the B2500 diagrams match my hubs and shafts, only the B2600 and B2200 diagrams do.

does anyone have any idea why?

forgot to add, it is a manual with auto locking hubs.

thanks in advance for any input.

Adonis

1999 B2500 is a Ford Ranger, not a true Mazda, and made in USA and not Japan. so discard EVERYTHING about a B2200 and B2600 when dealing with this.

Ask for Ford Ranger parts too if having issues there.

Yeah as Cusser said, get the wheel bearing for a Ford Ranger of the same year and you will be fine.

Get yourself a Chilton or Haynes shop manual. It will have a detailed procedure for replacing the bearings and everything else on your truck. Dan

Thanks everyone, but that is the issue, I have tried a bearing from the same year for both mazda and ford and it does not match. As I sai before I have viewed the part diagrams for both the ford and mazda of the same year and model and they do not match the hubs and shafts that I have on my truck.

The only parts diagram that matches is the one from the B2600 and the b2200. This is what I am confused at.

Hope you guys can help.

Got a picture of your truck, and are you in North America?

I am guessing that the truck is our body style since they made them up to 1999 in other countries. ( the hint was the 2.5D motor)

If it is a 4WD it may share parts with the B2600i.

I am in the U.K. I will get a picture up ASAP. Yes it is the 4wd version, so you may be correct that it is using b2600 parts as this is definitely what it looks like.

Have you heard of this being done on them before?

Thanks

Ah, learn something every day, I assumed the D was a typo since the 2.5L was in the North American version that year B2500. Thanks Angus
