so i've been doing a serious overhaul on my truck... my motor is all apart i just got a reman head last friday, just got my pacesetter... i want to start puttin chit together, but lookin on my intake theres one piece i remember'd i need to figure out. So i was strippin the intake weeks ago, prepin for paint, i pulled out the water thermo valve( as listed on the vacuum dia.) and ended up breaking one of the blue nipples coming off it. so im about to get my weber conversion too, so is the thermo valve needed, i got this quote from mazda forum.
"The 2 vacuum ports coming out of the weber, you don't use both of them. One you plug, the other you run to the thermovalve and then from the thermovalve to the distributor vacuum advance. This is so that the advance doesn't work until the engine warms up. I don't think it really matters that much because distributor has a mechanical advance/governor mechanisim built into it as well. "
so what to do?
thats my intake, the thermo valve goes in the furthest back open port close to where the egr mounts.
