hey whats the deal with the 5.0 into the b2200, my shit smokes alot at startup, imean alot, like my mazda is a ninja tryn to hide..., So rebuilding a stocker is outta the question, Im just not going to do it. Im more familiar with the 5.0 anyways so id rather buy one and put a few nice parts on it and swap it over, nothing crazy just headers, some chrome thats it.

Now what Im seeking here is what all is needed, Just reweld the mounts, and add the transmission crossmember, Or is there alot of cutting and hacking to do this. Thanks

on mine we re-did the lower control arm crossmember with some tubing to clear the oil pan, other than that and a custom tranny member no real cutting

what about engine mounts? Just weld in or what.

Stock fuel pump?

you can use the stock pump if youve got an electric in tank but i used a cell so i got a holley red pump. motor mounts are from some car i forget what exactly. mustang maybe? didnt have to weld anything just "wallered" out the frame holes a lil

i used motor mounts from a mustang convert.86-93 and just oblonged the holes a little and made a metal plate to fit over the stud as came through the motor mount for extra support?

question if anyone still reads this i need a driveline 1985 mustang stock trans to stock 7.5 rearend my truck had the swap when i got it but had a toyota f-ed up shaft just wondering what you all are using

danm how low does your motor sit in the bay? i had to just extend the mounts a bit longer out. I also switched to early style ford mounts that work like the chevy's. and the crossover under the pan was just notched. and for the tranny mount I just used a plate of steel off the stock mounting points and and bolted the other side to the ford mount.

They did a story on a 5.0 swap in minitruckin in like 2000 i think i have the mag at home and there is a company that sell a set up to drop a 5.0 in a mazda comes with the engine cradle that replaces the bar between the lowers and a tranny crossmember makes it simple then you use stock mustang headers and radiator the driveshaft I would just take to the machine shop and have it cut to length and the correct yoke put on it for the 5.0 tranny
