what kinda bolts are you needing for the engine, and are you using a torque wrench?

paeco industries in b'ham alabama can get you about any bolt you need,
I got a set of arp head studs from them, and i'm sure they can get you some rod / main bolts or studs too....as far as the other little bolts & what not, if you know what size you need, you can get them thru fastenal, or ram power bolt & tool, you might even be able to source some from home depot or lowes, but they will be expensive.....other than that, you could probably get the directly from mazda, but the would deff be expensive...

keep in mind theyre designed with a certain strength in mind to fail before something else does.

Ace Hardware near me has JIS metric screws and bolts. For example, JIS with 8 x 1.25mm thread has 12mm wrench size, where metric for German cars use 13mm. If the thread is the same you can use either. They even have tapered metric screws (profile like a golf tee or a wood screw).

McMaster.com also has lots of metric and good stuff.

thanks guys, so i posted this on monday night i think, just becasue i snapped the lower water pump bolt, siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh.

not the coolest thing in the world, nope, theres deffinitly A Lot cooler.

i posted thinkin i would be able to back the bolt out, with an EZ out, but that hasnt worked, i stepped up the the drill bit size hoping a bigger one would catch, and it hasnt. so my last idea that i've tried thursday and today was to JB weld a bolt into the hole that i drilled, well JB doesnt have a chance against thread loc, yeah thats the other shitty part of the whole ordeal. thread loc's one tough mama jamma, and the bolt just spins out.

so my next option is to just drill the whole thing out and re tap i guess.

this is exactly what i wanted to happen, just to post pone everthing trying to get the F'er started.

well heres the bitch. the bottom one of course, and its sheard flush! yay

yeah, any ideas or comments, other wise this is just an update

I agree: drill it and tap it.
