I have a 91 fi I have replaced the fuel filter, pump and ecu. It runs good for around town but on the freeway after abut 20 miles it just dies and will not start for about a half hour then it will run fine. I have never had a problem on short drives.

...I'll try and take a whack at it.

If I'm right, it means that the highway drive is makig your dist. too hot and it has a shut off switch in the dist. to keep it from burning up.

..lol, but I could'nt tell you what to check, etc.

..or it may be a bad ignition module and/or computer.

Does the check engine light come on?

the cel does not come on. I will have the computer checked again. but now it does not want to start is acting like the timing is off. (cranks normal then almost stops) I pulled the plugs and they were dry. but #1 was black and the rest were dark. I am going to check the timing belt. after I get it started I will try the gas cap thing
