Overhead cam engines don't have lifters. You need to adjust valve lash.

^^^what?

if it is a 2.2 then they are self adjusting and you have to find which lifter it is and replace it. if it is a 2.0 then you adjust them. personally, if it is a 2.2 i would get a 2.0 head and use the rocker assy. much better!

yeah its a 2.2 are they hard to swap out or anything i need to look out for? any pointers?

pretty straight forward really. nothin really to look for. just make sure you adjust your lifters after you install them and then crank it up and get it to operating temp and then adjust them again. here is a link to a how-to that dropped90 did. and you don't have to pull the head off to do the swap.
