engine ?

will a mazda 626 engine work in my b2000. is it the same?

it will work but theres mods you have to do. there is a few on here that know a good bit about the swap.

i know that the distributer is in the back on that head. and do you know any of those mods are?

well the intake is facing the firewall so it needs to be flipped around and i know some of the people are using the b22 head so it fixes the distributor problem. not sure what else there is. are you running a turbo? and what is your location? we have a member on here that has a f2t swap for sale with alot of the bugs already worked out. just has no time to finish.

nope no turbo just found a good deal on a reman. engine. and im in cali. and ill probably use a b2000 head

well the bottom ends are pretty much the same as our trucks. the heads are a little different from what i have read and the big thing your gaining is the fuel injection, and the possibility of boosting it. i dont see much purpose in swapping in the carbed engine. talk to some of the other guys with the swap or hocbj. he can give you factory specs of these motors.

wekk im swapping in 626 engie is cuz idk what is wrong with mine and ive tried a bunch of things to try and fix it and it hasn't worked yet so i decided to get a new motor and im getting a deal on this its just a long block so i was gonna put the carb and everything back on or put a b2000 head on it
