ok guys I got a 2.0 v4 on a b2200 and I get about 17 miles to the gallon witch really sucks in a way I changed the plugs and the filter already but when I first turn on the truck I step on the gas to lower the RPM's because it idle's high when its cold and I get a black cloud from my exhaust and it smells like gas inside the truck so I figured its too rich but dont know how to fix it,if anyone knows how it would help a lot

do you have a stock carb or a webber? This sounds like a job for hoc!!

If its the stock carb, I dont believe you can adjust the fuel mixture.

I would say check to see what is coming from the exhaust when its warmed up. I'm positive you will see a rich condition as much as yours when starting from cold. The choke will create the condition since its whats required to get it running from cold.

If the exhaust still expels black smoke when warmed up then you have a situation.
