i just did my crankcase and fuel system. now i want to do my intake. i know people do it through the brake booster line. can i do taht too? and if yes, where is it located?

okay first off how many miles do you have on your trucks engine? if its over 150k then i wouldnt use it. seafoam is a great product and works extremely well and i would recommend it heavily. but after 150k or so about the only thing holding rings together on a slightly below average maintained engine is carbon. seafoam gets rid of the carbon. letting your rings start letting oil passed and burning it.

but yes you can do it in your brake booster tube. heat your engine up and then pull the hose off the brake booster on the drivers side. rev engine so it doesnt die and slowly pour the specified amount in while keeping the engine barely running. then once you get it in there, cut the engine off and let it sit for about 10 to 15 minutes. go crank it up and watch the smoke show.

ya i have almost 180k now so i'm not gonna do it. i might rebuild my engine this summer and if i do, i'll seafoam it just to see what happens

I ran seafoam in my 92 with 168,000 miles and it has done nothing but good things I put half a can in my oil and the other half in my gas. runs 100% better than before. And the seafoam in brake booster cleans the top end. not the rings seafoam in the oil cleans the rings. I plan to do mine in a few weeks before I change the oil. (in the break booster that is)

oh i see. then i might do it. i added the stuff to my oil lik 30 miles before i changed it. how long can i have it in there? i actaully dont really know why i'm using seafoam. my engine has been running perfect except for a little lifter tick. but i always try to improve my mileage lol

just trying to warn you about the problem i had. i had a crx with about 170 on it and i ran the seafoam through it and it started burnin oil like a mofo

not to call you out but think about what you typed......... ok your putting this chemical into your intake track via the booster vacuum feed line. ok after it goes into the intake and then into the head and past the intake valves were does it go............. ding ding ding, you guessed it, right into the combustion camber were it cleans the cylinder walls....

yea like I said it cleans the TOP END meaning the top of the motor meaning the top of the pistons as well it will clean the top compressing ring but not the 2nd set of rings and oil rings the oil rings are the ones that get the extra oil off the cylinders just in case you did not know. plus when the spark plug fires it will burn off all the seafoam before it really cleans anything. putting the seafoam in the oil will clean the oil rings and 2nd rings and all the stuff on the BOTTOM END so DING DING DING. use your head. so next time read the can smart ass and it will tell you that add seafoam to the oil will clean the rings. Thank you have a good day.

Wondering how your ride is doing after the seafoam treatment. I bought a can last year but haven't used it yet. I read it is not good for the oxygen sensor. If and when I decide to try it I will put the old sensor back in.
