Is there anywhere other than the junkyard I could pick one of these up? One of the previous owners broke it and decided to repair it with a piece of hose clamped over the break.

which coolant bypass hose are you talking about? the one below the thermostat? or in the rear of the engine??

the one that runs to the lower radiator hose connection.

you could always go to an autoparts store and pick up some hose, hose clamps, and barbed connectors to splice it together or get enough hose to make 1 new one.

it's a steel "hose". There's a little o-ring on one end that presses into the part that bolts to the block that also connects to the lower radiator hose. Splicing is ghetto. The thing's not really needed so if I can't replace it, I'll delete it.

If you can post a pic of what your needing i think i still have one on my parts truck!I am pretty sure of what you are talking about, just want to make sure!!

lofosho, I'll get pics to you ASAP. I think I'm going to rig it until I can get a whole one. My Bimmer decided it wanted to die last night so I'm in hurry up mode on the truck.
