Failed Emissions, need help cheeting.

Ok i went in today to do my emissions, when i bought the truck i knew it wasn't legal and ive had it fr a year since i bought it. when i first did the emissions test i had the previous owner's mechanic rig the carburetor to pass, i saw him pull some vacs and we did the test and passed, he then redid the vacs and called it a day.

Today i went in knowing i wasnt going to pass but i wanted to get numbers so i could know what needed fixing,

I was able to fix the idle to like 500 bearly running haha so i passed the iddle test, so anyway i guess what i want to ask is how i can rig the carburetor to lean it out so i can pass. does anyone know how i can do it? thanks in advance!

yeah it has new plugs cap and rotor needs new plugs oil and pcv and it looks like it might need new cats too...

there is an A/F mix screw on the same side as your idle adjust. you have to smack a pin out, and i hear sometimes it breaks the carb to do it. mine was already out when i got this carb, so.... i dunno which way is more or less fuel, but there's that option. but mazdatweaker is prolly right...

And if that does'nt work, just put a crapload of heet in your tank...

ok i got it to pass. there are two vacs you pull. one is right under the idle screw and the other one is below and to the left on the intake manifold. you pull those and raise the idle to about 1500-1800 to compensate for the vac leak and vuala passed
